SFM TAILGATE KIT - QUICK START Version 1.0 | October 18, 2026 https://thesfmgroup.com Three versions, one meeting structure 1. Printable PDF Print all four pages on US Letter paper. Page 1 is the leader's guide; page 2 records meeting and equipment details; page 3 lists crew members present; page 4 records the stop/restart agreement, learning and follow-up actions. Write in the blank spaces. Copy the attendance page if more than 18 people attend, and keep the pages together under the same meeting reference. 2. Fillable PDF for a laptop Save a fresh copy of the blank fillable PDF for each meeting. Open it in a PDF reader that supports form filling and saving, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Type in the fields, check only reviewed items, and list the crew present. Use Save As with a meeting-specific filename. Close and reopen the saved copy to check that your entries remain. Keep the blank master for the next meeting. The 93 fields remain editable. Crew initials are optional attendance acknowledgment, not a digital signature or qualification certificate. Adobe's form-filling guidance: https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/desktop/fill-forms.html 3. Mobile web form for iPhone or iPad Open the mobile form in Safari: https://thesfmgroup.com/fleet-tools/tailgate-kit/index.html This is a web app, not an App Store application. All three versions are free at https://thesfmgroup.com/fleet-tools/#tailgate-kit. No signup, login, email address or other personal information is required to access or use the kit. Enter only the meeting information you choose to record; entries stay in your browser until you export or share a copy yourself. Read the guide, enter the meeting details, review the setup, add crew members, and record the follow-through. The mobile roster supports up to 100 rows; PDF attendance continuation pages are generated after the first 18 attendees. Use Create meeting PDF, then Download meeting PDF or Share PDF when your browser supports file sharing. On an Apple device, use Share and Save to Files to retain a copy. Exporting a PDF does not send a record to SFM or anyone else. Also use Save editable backup to keep the JSON backup if you may revise the record or move it to another device. Restore that file under Other formats and draft controls. The PDF export is a fixed meeting record; the laptop template and mobile backup are the editable versions. Entries are saved locally in the current browser when storage is available. The form does not send names or meeting entries to SFM. Drafts do not automatically sync between a phone, tablet, laptop, or a Home Screen web app. Export a backup before switching. Private browsing, clearing browser data, or device storage cleanup can remove local drafts. On a shared device, save your exports and clear the draft after use. Offline use is designed to work after the site and its files have loaded successfully. Check the form's offline-readiness message before leaving connectivity. Keep a PDF or backup as a fallback. To add it to an iPhone Home Screen, open it in Safari, use Share, choose Add to Home Screen, and enable Open as Web App if shown. Apple instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-lamr/guide/iphone/iphea86e5236/ios The kit is an optional SFM discussion and recordkeeping aid. Apply the employer's procedures, manufacturer instructions and requirements applicable to the actual work. Official regulatory links are included in all three versions. The mobile form has been checked in phone- and tablet-sized browser views. It has not been tested on a physical iPhone or iPad. Save a trial meeting record on your device before relying on it in the field.
